Goodbye Heartbreak Concluded

June 7 became the day young people of the church became more clued-up. Young members of our church flocked in the center for the recently concluded event dubbed, “Goodbye Heartbreak.” The event became a success as over 400 of the church’s single professionals and youth attended with their questions ready for asking.

Small Group leaders will have quite a handful of new members for out of the over 400 young people who attended Goodbye Heartbreak, 77 are still without small groups. Confirmation that the event struck a chord in the hearts of young people, the 4pm youth service produced seven young people responding to the altar call and accepting our Lord as their savior.

Goodbye Heartbreak was conceptualized on the premise that love and relationship are a natural part of the young and the single individual. Unsurprisingly, love reveals fewer answers than expected. The event provided a venue to casually ask questions, obliterating legalisms and the usual tendencies to assume and presume.

Goodbye Heartbreak officially started 12pm with the registrations eventually becoming fully packed. Attendees were treated to a couple of love songs over candlelight performed by Ms. Rinka. Mr. Edrei Canda, Ms. Tina Chris de Vera and Ms. Kat Mendoza hosted the event with much zest. Pastors Jansen with Ms. Ging, Sonny with Ms. Malou and King plus Mr. Tim Limgengo, Migs Calayan and Mr. Stefan Suarez with Ms. Mish eagerly answered queries with wisdom. Goodbye Heartbreak summarily was well received as much of the evaluation sheets concluded that almost 70% of the attendees wished there were more time to ask questions. The event ended 3pm as preparations for the 4pm service commenced.

In setting the trend of casually asking questions, a follow up meet have been scheduled. Dubbed “7/11,” the meet will focus more on single people and their queries regarding love and relationship; much like Goodbye Heartbreak only a much more unambiguous setting.

Victory + Volunteer Weekend

We're having a BIG weekend this coming June 20 and 21! Two very important events are happening and here are the details:

Victory Weekend! Small group leaders, are there members of your small groups who haven't gone through Victory Weekend yet? Victory Weekend is a powerful time for disciples to find freedom from things that hinder their walk with the Lord, and it will also be a great big boost that will leave them on fire and ready to go! It will be for men, women and kids. All sessions will be held at the Victory Center. Registration is 700 for adults, 500 for kids.

Volunteer Weekend! After every worship service during this weekend, members will be encouraged to sign up and join a ministry where they feel they can serve best with their gifts and abilities. Volunteerism is also an integral part of discipleship where people can discover their spiritual gifts, and be connected with others in a team. Again, we want to encourage small group leaders to help their members find a ministry that fits.

It's an exciting time again here at Victory Alabang. If you need more info, just call 771-12-12 !
