Happy New Year! 2008 update

Happy New Year everyone! As 2008 is well on its way, as a church we're going to start the way we usually do- on our knees seeking God. Here are a couple of announcements.

1. Every year the Every Nation family of churches starts off the year with seven days of prayer and fasting. We don't do this because it is a "tradition", but because every year has this in common : we NEED God. We want to encourage everyone to join us as we pray and fast, beginning on the 9th up until the 15th. Commit to a one-meal fast, a liquid fast (light soups and juices), or a water fast. Commit to clearing up your schedule and praying a lot more. Write down what you hear from God. Commit to seeking God for direction, guidance, supplication, and watch him move as you pray. Also, for each of the seven days, we will meet together at the Victory Center for worship and prayer at 7pm.

2. As we pray and ask God what his will is for 2008, some might wonder... "is it really possible to find out what God wants?". The good news is that the answer is YES and we have devoted three weeks talking about how. Our new preaching series "SYNC" is all about being in tune with God's good, pleasing and perfect will for our lives. Don't miss it!

A Sunday at the EXPO

Victory Alabang held four services at the EXPO Trade Hall today due to fumes in their wing of the mall. The fumes were caused by mall decorations being constructed nearby. Nevertheless, it was a powerful Sunday full of worship, the Word, and wonderful family. Church is really not a place, but a people (and not just any bunch of people but -a family- as we heard in today's sermons).

Pictures will be up by Tuesday in the front page. Right now, the front page features the previous week of church life, with highlights from Game Night 2, and young people looking at eyeballs in a glass bowl. Click here to see it!

Are You Spatial?

Creativity.
Many of us are blessed with it. Some of us are bursting with it, and may not have an outlet for it. On the other hand, some of us may work in creative industries like advertising and media, squeezing our creative juices relentlessly in our day-to-day grind.

Whether you are one or the other, it's always refreshing to do *that* for God's kingdom.

Whatever *that* is, whether it is visual, musical, theatrical, literary, for video or for the Web, we want to invite you to join us in this event. We can meet each other, talk about what inspires us, and sign up for the many exciting ways we can serve God with our special abilities.

If you've been wondering who produces our posters, powerpoint slides, pre-sermon videos, and even our website and want to be involved this is it. See you there: November 23, Friday 7-9pm!
